Military career

In 2007, he completed Ranger School and was assigned to the 7th Special Forces Group, where he served on Operational Detachment Alpha. During this time he was also a sniper, sniper instructor, and the principal combatives instructor for C Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group.

Early life and education. Kennedy was raised in South Buffalo, one of five children of Martin F. and Mary Kennedy. His father worked as Buffalo's commissioner of assessment and taxation, and his mother is a retired nurse who taught nursing at D'Youville University.

STRENGTH. While his main focus is on staying functional and well-rounded, the 37-year-old has managed to deadlift 405lbs, bench-press 300, and power clean 285.

A lot of meats, vegetables, fruits, coffee and some carbs but virtually no sugar or starches. Tim hunts and favors a lot of wild meats for their high quality protein source. No alcohol. Tim doesn't drink because he wants to be in control of his environment.

After 9/11, Tim dropped the idea of law enforcement and enlisted in the Army, quickly gaining a spot in the Green Berets. Tim's brother and father are both career law enforcement and he has a passionate place in his heart for those of us who protect and serve.

That is when he started the pipeline as an 18X in becoming an active duty Army Green Beret. Kennedy was assigned to the 7th Special Forces group and completed several deployments on active duty.
